WPD (WordPerfect) File
This article describes WPD (WordPerfect) file extension, including how to open and convert it.
WPD file is a text file created by Corel WordPerfect, It may contain formatted text, tables, charts, graphs, sketches, drawings, and images.
WordPerfect is the primary program associated with WordPerfect document files, so you can use that application to open it. Corel discontinued the DOS and Macintosh versions of WordPerfect in 1997, so it’s available only for Windows system.

You can open WPD files with Corel WordPerfect in Windows. The application is included with the Corel WordPerfect Office suite. However if you are using Mac system, you can try Prepress – PDF Creator. Prepress can preview and convert wpd files. You can use it for free.
CMX File
Corel Presentation Exchange (CMX) is a metafile format that supports bitmap and vector information and the full range of PANTONE, RGB, and CMYK colors. Files saved in CMX format can be opened and edited in other Corel Suite applications.
CMX adopts the Resource Interchange File Format (RIFF). The entire CMX file is enclosed within either the RIFF or RIFX form, depending on the platform.
Corel created the CMX format to serve as a proprietary image interchange format, which could be used to transfer images from any Corel program to another. For example, you could previously save an image as a CMX file in CorelDRAW and then import that image into Corel Presentations, for use on a slide.
However, many Corel programs no longer support the CMX format. For example, you cannot import a CMX file into current versions of Corel Presentations, WordPerfect, or PaintShop Pro.
